Keyshot will translate any 3D geometry at the import stage, whether that’s from the Creo import plugin or a neutral file import such as Step or Iges.  These files use surface geometry and assemblies, don’t get them confused with facet files such as .stl and .obj

If your file translates incorrectly then you have a couple of options:

– overlapping geometry in assemblies can cause issues – carry out an interference check

– under constrained assemblies can cause an issue – look for white squares in your model tree

– export the file from your 3D package as a neutral file rather than allow Keyshot to do the translating – try .stp or .igs  Basically different translators may give different interpretations of the geometry.

– home in on the problematic data – roll back your model progressively, re-export/import until the model imports correctly. Once you have identified the problem geometry sometimes the smallest tweak can sort it out or see if your can exclude or replace it.

Basically this is a detection and work around process.
