Often called rest mill, this sequence references a previous sequence with a smaller diameter tool and remove further material left by that sequence.  For example, we may rough machine a large cavity with a 10mm diameter slot drill which will not be able to access the 2mm radius in the corners of the cavity. A 4mm diameter tool is then used with a Re-rough to remove the material in the corners.

Working through the dashboard;

  • select a smaller tool than that use in the reference sequence
  • in the previous step window select the reference sequence

  • check the clearance plane is above the mould block
